Empowering Individuals While Working Together as a Whole
Our goal is to provide each of our clients with a place they feel connected to an open and supportive community, where each member feels like they’re seen and heard.
Each of our therapists are attentive to every member’s specific goals and growth, not just the collective process. We make it a point to meet privately with every client on a regular basis to ensure his/her specific needs are being met, and when appropriate, request separate family/parent sessions. When outside therapists are primary, we will drive the collaboration and team approach!
We operate from a non-negotiable, positive peer perspective that includes direct, honest, relational interactions in our groups. This open and supportive culture encourages experienced members to model skillful living and creates an opportunity for them to serve as mentors for our newer members. We understand that our teenagers and young adults must experience our passion and love for the work!
In collaboration with our clients over the years, Cherry Creek Psychotherapy has created and uses a unique, “hybrid” version of Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) that has modified the traditional DBT teachings to be more age-appropriate while incorporating Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) and other types of therapeutic practices. This “hybrid” Relationally-based DBT format better serves our members by focusing on the integration of skills over time, throughout life’s ups and downs, rather than offering a time limited (traditional) teaching approach.
We’re All in This Together
The moment a client walks into Cherry Creek Psychotherapy we want them to immediately feel a sense of belonging. We want every client to know that they’re in a welcoming, safe, positive space where they can truly be themselves — a judgment-free zone! CCP is a community of individuals who have similar experiences in the world and can use that understanding to work together and deliver the support needed to develop skills for a happier, healthier life.
